Stephanie Gorin Wins Emmy Award®
Third time is a charm for Stephanie Gorin who has received the 2014 Prime Time Creative Arts Emmy® Award for Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for the series Fargo. The 1981 graduate of Sheridan’s Media Arts-Music Theatre program was recognized for her work on the series which airs on the FX Network. The award was presented in Los Angeles on August 16. “It was a dream come true,” said Stephanie, pictured far right with fellow winners Jackie Lind (far left) and Rachel Tenner. As head of her own casting company for the past 25 years, Stephanie has played a pivotal role in the careers of many performers, both stage and screen. More about Stephanie.

Exclusive Film Screening: “Rhymes for Young Ghouls”
The Sheridan Alumni Office is proud to welcome filmmaker and Sheridan graduate (Advanced Television and Film, 2002) John Christou on campus for an exclusive screening of Rhymes for Young Ghouls and a Q&A session.

Date: Tuesday, September 9, 2014
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Trafalgar Campus, SCAET Lecture Hall Room: S235

Come meet John Christou and watch Rhymes for Young Ghouls, a tale that uses the tragic history of the residential school system as a backdrop for a dark coming-of-age film. Showcased in 2013 by TIFF and nominated for a 2014 Canadian Screen Award.
